Education Resource Center (ERC)

The Educational Resource Center was established for the purpose of providing Internet based, non curriculum educational resources in science and technology to Marathi speaking students in the K-9 grades. The 2 objectives for this effort: are
(1) Provide rapid impact by emphasizing teacher training.
(2) Leverage Technology for easy access to information.
ERC has been funded for the last 5 years by a small group of Marathi speaking people in Connecticut. The Jnana Prabodhini Prashala (JPP) in Pune has taken on the lead responsibility for supporting ERC with creating educational material and designing web based content. JPP conducts regular training classes for teachers from all over Maharashtra. Starting with the 2011 School year in June, JPP intends to conduct Internet based lectures and interactive classes with students and teachers participating from various locations in Maharashtra and other Indian states.
Please visit the ERC Web site (www.erc-pune.org) for more detailed information about the ERC project. You are invited to participate in ERC activities and contribute to its growth. Your contributions can be in the form of educational content, Web related expertise or tax-free charitable donations through the VSEI (Volunteers in Service to Education in India, Inc.) organization.
